What working together can look like.

Examples of the updates, questions, pricing explanations, and communication arrangements you can expect. The details are agreed with the people involved.

Updates you can expect

The kind and frequency of updates is agreed at the start. Examples include:

  • A short written summary after each week of showings
  • Feedback from buyers’ agents, passed on as received
  • Notice of any change in nearby competing listings
  • A heads-up before any recommendation to adjust price or approach

Questions asked early

Asked so the plan fits the household, not to collect personal details:

  • Who lives in the home, and what times work for visits?
  • How would each owner like to be contacted?
  • Are there dates that matter — a school year, a lease, a move?
  • Which advisers are involved, and may they be copied?

How pricing is explained

A recommendation comes with its reasoning, for example:

  • Which comparable sales were used, and why others were left out
  • How the home’s condition and features compare
  • What current competing listings suggest about buyer choice
  • What the range means — and that it is not a guaranteed price

Communication arrangements

Owners can agree on what suits them, such as:

  • Identical written updates sent to both owners at the same time
  • Each owner working through their own representative
  • Decisions confirmed in writing rather than by phone
  • Advisers copied only where authorized

Legal, lending, tax, and counselling questions are referred to the appropriate professionals.
